   If you want your VZ61 build to go smoothly, do not compromise on the receiver. The Tortort lower is machined like a piece of art. Everything from my surplus military parts kit dropped right into place without any headache.

   I completed my build using this receiver paired with a new US-made 4.5-inch barrel. Hand-cycled flawlessly right off the bench, and ran three full magazines at the range without a single failure to feed or eject.

   You can instantly see why Tortort has the best reputation in the surplus building community. The tool marks are practically nonexistent, and the lines are extremely clean. It is a massive upgrade over plastic or aluminum 3D prints.
