   I was worried about the gas block and sight tower journals being out of spec, but they were machined perfectly. Everything pressed on with the exact amount of resistance required. No loose parts or heavy sanding needed.

   The 7.62x39mm chamber on this barrel handles both lacquer-coated steel and brass casing effortlessly. Extraction is violent and positive, and I haven’t experienced a single stuck casing or failure to feed.

   The rifling on this barrel is crisp and uniform from the chamber to the crown. It is a massive upgrade over old, corrosive-pitted surplus barrels. It easily shoots 2-inch groups at 100 yards with cheap steel-cased ammo.

   After pressing the barrel into the receiver, I checked it with standard 7.62×39 GO and NO-GO gauges. The bolt locked up tight and safe exactly where it should, requiring zero extra hand-lapping or tweaking.

   I bought this online to avoid dealing with a pin-and-weld job on a shorter surplus barrel. The full 16-inch length makes it 100% legal out of the box. It pressed into my receiver smoothly and looks fantastic.

   Arrived heavily oiled and immaculate out of the shipping tube. Once cleaned, the button rifling looked incredibly sharp. It balances perfectly on the rifle and doesn’t make the front end feel sluggish.

   The barrel shank was turned to the exact factory print dimensions. It pressed cleanly into my Tortort milled receiver on a 12-ton shop press without any galling. Excellent quality control from the manufacturer.
